How sad I was to hear of Loren’s illness. He was a renaissance man – well ahead of the green movement – and a welcome change from the over processed, too fast, mass produced life that was just how it was when I first tuned in to him on TV in the early 90’s – I think he was doing a piece on flea control! I still use his recommendations today. And there was his lovely name – taking me back to childhoods spent in Cornwall, with it’s beautiful coastline. No wonder he was comfortable with all things coastal! He will certainly be missed by me and is a sad loss for San Diego.

  6. My sincere condolences to the Nancarrow family and friends thereof.

I just moments ago found out that Loren was ill and died — I guess watching the news wasn’t high on my agenda. My recollections over the year are of wondering where you were.

Look for my husband, Dale Fischer … he left on February 12, 2001 after 2.5 years of battling Esophageal Cancer. He was 55 years old.

Loren, I can’t seem to find the words buddy. You are the nicest man I’d ever met and your love for the environment is contagious. Thank you for all the years that you served San Diego and for all the great advice you gave us. I wish you well my friend!

Loren – my wife is Polish and she told me about Dr. Brezezinski cancer’s clinic where he treats cancer with remarkable cure rates wiht natural cancer fighting strategies instead of harmful Chemo. He is hated by the cancer and pharma industry and their friends at the FDA have given him a very hard time, but he has remarkable cure rates. http://www.burzynskiclinic.com/

  12. Loren old friend..was just thinking about you and the old days, looked you up and just read the news. I know you’re a fighter. If you’re up to it, maybe a visit to the farm would be good. Or have a fund raiser here? Hope you’re feeling well today.

I had a cousin I was close to that had brain cancer. It’s been about ten years but he was given synthetic scorpin venom. And, it did help him. I don’t if it’s been developed any further?
