Nurse Rod Plays “Heart Strings for Loren Nancarrow”

Rod was kind enough to name this song “Heart Strings for Loren Nancarrow.” He performed it for me and my family in the ICU today.

Loren, grew up watching your newscast in San Diego and always admired your spirit! We are now neighbors here in Cardiff by the Sea…Beautiful song for a beautiful person! Thankyou for sharing….Stay strong!

  8. Kelly says:

Loren, you are a staple in the homes of many San Diegan’s. I have worked with you and your colleagues in news segments but you helped my son Broc with a school project in 1997. You helped him by sending him detailed information for a class project without even knowing us. You were missed when you left KGTV and we were all thrilled to see you on FOX. That’s the stuff you never hear from the households of your neighborhood. This is an opportunity to say Thank you and we like having you back on TV! So hurry up and get well 🙂 You will be in our prayers.

    Loren,

We are so saddened to hear of the challenge you and your family are facing.

Intellectually, we all know that life can, and does, change on a dime…but many of us have not experienced its effects yet. It’s impossible to know how you must feel.

So many people are thinking of you, praying for you and sending healing and loving thoughts. You are such an admired, respected and well-liked person in this community. It may be hard for you to realize the connection and closeness that so many feel for you—You’ve been in people’s homes every day for years. So many folks feel that they know you…those of us whose names you do not know.

You obviously know intimately the gift of a loving, close family. Richard and I are offering our support to you and your family in any and all ways possible. May we join hands with you in this journey.

    Love,

    Mary Ann and Richard Ranta

Loren…I am a former co-worker from YEARS ago at KGTV, when I was doing traffic reporting there around 1998. I am NOT offended if you do not remember me, but I still remember some of your “recipes.” Especially the one to fight earwigs! Yuck! I have now “grown up” to be a TV meteorologist in Portland, Oregon. But still think of San Diego often! Please know that I am thinking of you and hoping for a speedy recovery. It’s nice to see that you are in excellent hands. Many well wishes from one “tree hugger” to another! Cheers!! Mary Loos
